A documentary about the history of the Mountain Jews in the North Caucasus, centuries-old friendship with representatives of different peoples and faiths. Mountain Jews are the indigenous people of the North Caucasus, who have lived in harmony with other mountain ethnic groups since the 5th century AD. Today, Mountain Jews live in Dagestan, Stavropol Krai, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and other regions of the North Caucasus. Good-neighborly relations between the peoples have been maintained for centuries. During the Great Patriotic War, Mountain Jewish communities were saved from fascist reprisals only thanks to the courage of the Caucasian peoples, who risked their lives to hide Jewish families in their homes and take people out of dangerous territory. This friendship is strong today, including among young people. The aggravation and development of the Middle East conflict with subsequent anti-Semitic actions in the North Caucasus Federal District caused concern among people of different nationalities and was negatively perceived by Muslims. The heroes of the film will share personal stories in which there is a place for the main values: brotherhood of people of different religions and nationalities, respect, creative work, mercy, love for the native land. Jews, Muslims, Orthodox - all the polyphony of the Caucasus are among their own. The project is being implemented with the support of the Institute of Internet Development. The project team expresses gratitude to the North Caucasus Federal University for assistance in the implementation of the project.
