With a height of 1,392 meters above sea level, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view that ranges from the Po Valley to the Alps. The peak can be reached via several paths, including the CAI 571 path that starts from the Roncola San Bernardo cemetery and the path that starts from the Valcava pass. This small church was created from a mountain stable abandoned in the 1950s. In the 1990s, a group of volunteers decided to restore the ruin, maintaining its rustic appearance but giving it a new use. The sanctuary was dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth in memory of the night of the first Christmas, when the Holy Family found refuge in a stable. The restoration of the building was challenging due to the precariousness of the structure, without foundations, and the lack of a road, electricity and drinking water. The work was completed on August 20, 1994, with the blessing and inauguration of the sanctuary by the Bishop of Bergamo, Monsignor Roberto Amadei. The sanctuary is located at an altitude of 1230 meters and offers a panoramic view of the Po Valley, from Milan to Brescia. It can only be reached on foot, along easily accessible paths. The building is a bare, rectangular construction, in exposed local stone, surmounted by a small bell tower in stones with two bells from the late eighteenth century. The sanctuary is dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth, composed of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, who represent a model of Christian life for all families. Their story has been the object of deep devotion by the faithful, despite not being narrated extensively in the Gospels. Every year, the sanctuary attracts a large number of pilgrims and devotees, especially during celebrations and on a daily basis.
