By train through Morocco (arte documentary) On the border between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, Morocco captivates with its friendly people and its barren beauty. A multifaceted train journey leads through the northwest of Africa. Stops include the large cities of Marrakesh, Fes and of course Casablanca, world-famous thanks to the film of the same name starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, with its fascinating markets and old quarters. But the focus of the journey is the Desert Express. Pulled by a diesel locomotive, it roams the untouched landscape along the Algerian border on lonely tracks and leads past nomad tents, date oases and picturesque desert towns. And last but not least, a dromedary takes the traveler into the endless sand dunes of the Sahara.
