The Model Federal Railway is unique! The magnificent model railway system offers deceptively realistic landscapes and is a truly real model railway in terms of contemporary history. Anyone who already knows the Model Federal Railway knows how professionally the two model building experts Karl Fischer and Norbert Sickmann have worked and will continue to work on their historically perfect miniature world in H0 gauge. With every brushstroke, both pursue the goal of recreating the summer of 1975 of the German Federal Railway in the area around Ottbergen and Altenbeken in a deceptively realistic way on a scale of 1/87. Everything at the Model Federal Railway is based on the large original: houses, buildings, engine sheds, station buildings and much more are constructed as they actually looked in the summer of 1975. In addition, there is absolute perfection in terms of the rolling stock. You can see dirty, patinated train sets and house facades - just as they looked in reality and in some cases still look. Almost all of the buildings are unique. All the trees were made by hand. Bridges, engine sheds and houses were built according to original plans. Even the locomotives have the corresponding locomotive numbers. And this video by Pennula is just as unique as the model federal railway. In it, presented by Karl Fischer, we experience a tour along the new section of the Teutoburg Forest with the magnificent Altenbeken viaduct. We will see that the photo backgrounds have unfortunately not yet been installed and there is already a new construction site in the background.
