Boxwood saver algae lime (product links below in the description). Here's another new method: sprinkling the boxwood trees with algae lime drives away the boxwood moths and prevents the butterflies from laying their eggs there, and eggs that have already been laid also have a hard time developing. First, we cut the boxwood plants, balls or hedges and shape them. The cut material can contain eggs or caterpillars and therefore belongs in a garbage bag and in the household garbage. Be careful, do not put it on the compost bin. Then we sprinkle the plants evenly with the algae lime - and we do this about 3 times a year. Algae lime is available in a wide variety of qualities, from very coarse to ground into powder. The finer the ground, the more effective it is.
