Nutrition plays a very important role in this. The weekly shopping connects the two in a very special way. Karina is in charge of the vegetable department of a supermarket when she meets Philip. Their first meeting is also Karina's start into a life as a raw vegan. Philip and Karina only eat raw food and do without animal products, oil and spices. They no longer need a refrigerator or stove. Philip decided on this lifestyle in his mid-twenties. At the time he was still a weight lifter. Nevertheless, he had the impression that sport was making him ill. He suffered from dizziness and headaches. It was only through the raw food diet that he found his way to healing. The couple wants to lead a life that is as minimalist as possible, which is why Karina is selling her condo and quitting her job. It was not an easy decision, but for Karina it is the right one and important in order to reach her goal. *Due to current events*: Dear community, we have read your comments and take the criticism seriously. At the time of filming (January 2022), what can now be seen on Philip and Karina's Instagram channel about alternative healing methods/therapies was not apparent. Otherwise we would have included it in the report and classified it journalistically. We expressly distance ourselves from these methods/therapies. However, our article is not about healing methods at all, but about the topic of self-optimization. You can find the entire documentary “The Self-Measurement Experts” here: https://kurz.zdf.de/MKVT/ Regardless of this: There are different models of how you can live. Karina and Philip's way of life is radically different from the way most people live - but that is also society and should be shown. We stand by that.
