It's hard to believe that there is such an idyllic route in Stuttgart. The future is uncertain, as the Panoramabahn may no longer be needed when Stuttgart 21 is in operation. But at the moment the Gäubahn trains (IC to Zurich, RE to Rottweil or Freudenstadt) still run here, as do some S-Bahn trains - and, when the Rankbachbahn or the Württemberg Black Forest Railway are closed, freight trains too. And that was exactly the case on the day of my visit. I was also able to capture a few freight trains, some of which were on their way to/from the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen. Mrs. BeuteZug was there again too. First we were on the route between Wildpark and Heslach. After a short trip to Stuttgart Central Station, we then looked for a spot south of Stuttgart-Rohr near the Berghau Tunnel.
