#MUNİS Akustik by Erdem Pancarcı ___________________________________ Ask the Lovers A few years ago, when I visited the Antep-Afşin-Elbistan-Sarız regions, I had the opportunity to meet some personalities. While listening to their conversations, a fire that I could not understand appeared before my eyes. I witnessed how that fire drew me to itself in that world where I was a guest. This "state" of the Path that I did not know did not leave me alone, and while I was wondering about the source of that world, I came across representatives of the movement known as "Truthful Alevism". This current of thought and reform, founded by a sage named Arapoğlu in the late 19th century, has survived to the present day through the words of many powerful poets: Ali Haqi Edna, Melulî, Cafer Tan, İbretî, Hüdaî, Nesimi, Perişan Güzel, Mahsunî, Emekçi, Figanî and many more... This curiosity and inspiration led us to vocalize a poem by Ali Haki Edna (Gedaî) with Perişan Güzel's interpretation. How wonderful it was to be close to such a fire and to experience its ''state'' of light, even for a moment. I would like to thank dear Erdem Pancarcı, who accompanied me by providing the recording environment, for his efforts. The tradition of truthful Alevism also has an institutional representation in England; the Ali Haki Edna Foundation in London. I received permission from them to vocalize this saying. I would like to thank them very much.
