Vinnytsia Jerusalem is a unique phenomenon for our city. For centuries, the Vinnytsia Jewish community lived and worked here, which directly influenced not only the development of its district, but also the entire city. The vicissitudes of the 20th century changed everything - the old Jerusalem mostly disappeared without a trace. However, its atmosphere continues to live. Another special area was located near Jerusalem - Kumbary. Even during the first attempts to establish and develop Vinnytsia, people lived on the left bank of the Bug on the site of modern Kumbar. A long time passed before this territory became part of Vinnytsia and received its modern name.
