It took a while, and look, this journey was not easy, you know? The film was paused, it was resumed, it had its budget coming out of Coppola's own pocket, among several other things. So, it is a production that has spanned generations and twists and turns, still facing the weight of a world in constant change – but that, in the end, arrives with reflections on a series of timeless questions, from the inevitable fate of great empires to the dangers of extreme ideologies, including criticism of unbridled consumption that reduces art to a product and a sharp satire of the Hollywood industry and its ability to shape narratives. These are certainly deep and ambitious questions, but here comes the big question: can Megalopolis develop so many ideas in just 2 and a bit of film? Does Grandpa Coppola deliver an intense and engaging experience or does he leave us with more questions than answers? Well, in this video, I share with you my opinion on this utopia imagined by the director and whether it really reaches its splendor or, like so many others, ends up becoming a dystopia – both on screen and off. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Help Futurices grow! / @futurices ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Contact: [email protected] Instagram: / canalfuturices TikTok: / canalfuturices Original music from the video: / futurices-2023 ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Free B-Roll provided by www.videezy.com Stock videos by http://www.videezy.com Free Stock footage by http://www.videezy.com COPYRIGHT FAIR USE NOTICE, Title 17, US Code (Sections 107-118 of the copyright law): All media in this video is used for the purpose of review & commentary under terms of fair use.
