About :

Toktobek-Sai is a village in the south of Kyrgyzstan with a dramatic fate. Many years ago, families of cattle breeders lived in the gorge. However, over time, the country began building a reservoir, and dozens of villages had to be flooded to fill it. The same fate awaited Toktobek-Sai, but the water never reached it. Nevertheless, the village was forever cut off from the rest of the world. During the blasting operations and construction of the dam, all its residents were resettled to the nearest city. But one man refused to leave the land of his ancestors.
