On a certain late-night TV program on May 5th (Thursday), A-sensei's "Manga Michi" was selected as the number one manga of the top six in the "Nippon Manga Isan!" program. The project involved illustrator Shindo Yasuko deciding on the top six manga that depict the scenery of real towns, and as the title suggests, it was a parody of "World Heritage." In addition to visiting the "Tokiwa-so" monument in a park in Minaminagasaki 3-chome, Toshima-ku, Tokyo, the woman who was the model for Shinobu-chan, the poster girl for the Chinese restaurant "Matsuba," also appeared and shared her memories of that time.
