Coming home on a Friday afternoon, after a week of travel after travel, some days staying at the hotel, others driving at dawn to get to work early. That's why I'm not always in a good mood to talk to you while driving, but it was worth recording this beautiful road. The Cumbres de Maltrata are located on the Puebla-Veracruz Highway, between the City of Esperanza, Pue and Cd Mendoza, Ver. Where the uphill lanes separate from the downhill lanes, until they join again before the Toll Booth, you go up from 1500 to 2500 meters above sea level, in just 33 km. The uphill lanes seen in the video were formerly a two-way road, as you can see the climb is heavy and the cargo vehicles go slowly; when you couldn't easily pass, the lines were long and the same trip that we do in 30 minutes took at least 2 hours. Later, the descent lanes are built with 4 tunnels and that go down the same 1000 meters but in just 23 km, that is, the degree of inclination of the descent is much more dangerous, which causes constant accidents of cargo trucks, despite having 2 emergency ramps, sometimes they are insufficient. Finally, it should be mentioned that in addition to the above, it is one of the most dangerous sections due to the dense fog, but above all the constant assaults on cargo trucks and robbery of trucks that have crashed; it is a very beautiful place in terms of scenery, but never stop to take photos or look at the mountain, continue on your way without stopping.
