This is how you make the very best chicken feed in winter. And for us humans: Kimchi recipe as a substitute for sauerkraut - delicious! In winter, chickens hardly find anything green outside in the garden. This makes it all the more important to bring them plenty of fresh greens from the kitchen into the coop. When temperatures are below zero, make sure you provide fresh water every day. Do you know KIMCHI? It comes from Korea and is similar to our sauerkraut - both are lactic acid fermented. In the kimchi you add: 1 large Chinese cabbage 2 carrots 1 radish 1 bunch of spring onions 1 onion 3 bulbs of garlic 1 piece of ginger 2 - 3 tbsp chili flakes 2 - 3 tbsp paprika powder 2 - 3 tbsp fish sauce (if you like) Weigh all the vegetables.
