They are full of wonderful mountain landscapes, hiking trails, nature reserves, castle ruins and many other attractions. WĄWÓZ HOMOLE One of the most popular places in Pieniny is Wąwóz Homole, a deep canyon with steep walls, reaching up to 120 meters high. The Homole Gorge is located in Jaworki and is about 800 meters long. WYSOKA Wysoka lies at an altitude of 1050 m above sea level and lies on the Polish-Slovak border. It belongs to the Małe Pieniny and the Korona Gór Polski. At the top there is a great viewpoint from which you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Pieniny and the Tatras. Biała Woda Reserve The Biała Woda Reserve is located in Jaworki. A picturesque and easy route runs through it, which is ideal for a family walk. Here we can admire impressive rocks and vegetation, and an additional attraction is the Biała Woda stream. SZCZAWNICA Szczawnica is the "queen of Polish spas". It lies on the border of the Pieniny and the Western Beskids and is the most popular base for people who want to discover the attractions of the Pieniny. While in Szczawnica, it is worth visiting Dietla Square, the mineral water intakes, as well as the spa parks and the Promenade over Grajcarek. PALENICA Palenica is a peak of the Małe Pieniny Mountains with a height of 722 m above sea level, which is located in Szczawnica. You can go up Palenica by chairlift or climb the yellow trail from Szczawnica. There are beautiful views of the Pieniny and the Sądecki Beskids. DUNAJEC GORGEOUS The Pieniny Dunajec Gorge can be admired during a raft trip, which is one of the most popular attractions in the Pieniny Mountains. The trip starts at the raft port in Sromowce. In addition to the raft trip, you can also take advantage of pontoon and kayak trips. PIENIŃSKA ROAD The Pienińska Road runs along the Dunajec Gorge, which is ideal for a hiking or cycling trip. This is one of the most popular attractions in the Pieniny Mountains. It leads from Szczawnica to Czerwony Klasztor and is about 10 km long. Along the way, you can admire the beauty of the Pieniny National Park. RED MONASTERY At the end of the Pieniny Road, there is Czerwony Klasztor. Currently, it houses a museum. On the bank of the Dunajec River, there is a raft port, which is the beginning of the Slovak Dunajec Gorge Rafting. There is a beautiful view of Trzy Korony from here. KROŚCIENKO NAD DUNAJCEM Krościenko nad Dunajcem is a charming town located in the heart of the Pieniny Mountains on the Dunajec River. A characteristic point of Krościenko is a pair of twin bridges. Krościenko nad Dunajcem is an excellent base for exploring the Pieniny Mountains. TRZY KORONY Trzy Korony is the most popular peak of the Pieniny Mountains, which consists of five limestone peaks. The viewing platform is located on the highest peak, Okrąglica, which is 982 m above sea level. From there, you can admire the flowing Pieniny Dunajec Gorge, the Tatra Mountains and the Gorce Mountains. ZAMKOWA GÓRA From Trzy Korony, you can follow the blue trail towards Zamkowa Góra, which is 799 m above sea level. There are ruins of the Pieniny Castle and St. Kinga's Grotto here. SOKOLICA Sokolica is 747 m above sea level and is known primarily for its famous relic pine tree bending over the precipice. From here, we can see, among others: The Pieniny Gorge of the Dunajec, or the Pieniny Małe. LAKE CZORSZTYŃ Czorsztyńskie Lake is a reservoir that was created as a result of the damming of the Dunajec River by the dam in Niedzica. On the opposite shores of the lake there are two medieval castles - the castle in Niedzica and the castle in Czorsztyn.
