Professor Igor Lukeš has been living and teaching in the USA since the late 1970s. Few people go to the Czech Republic, which is why I am very happy that we managed to film this interview. Lukeš experienced a free America, but its descent into what he describes as a loss of freedom. He is not afraid to be critical of the aggressive war that the US has waged in Iraq, talking about the big mistakes associated with the militarization of the country. But he also sharply warns against the next election of Donald Trump as president. He says that the future of Europe is literally being fought in Ukraine. According to him, Václav Klaus lies about Russia and Ukraine on purpose, possibly for money. To my surprise, he claims that Czechs are very sophisticated and cannot just get drunk on a roll.
