DATO' AFDLIN SHAUKI, BODY SIZE DOES NOT DETERMINE ARTISTIC TALENT Introducing Legacy Podcast; Sembang, Sambung!, a broadcast audio show led by two big figures in the national entertainment industry namely Adlin Aman Ramlie and Dato' Khairul Anwar Salleh. The purpose of this podcast is to build the discourse of the country's art industry in addition to rethinking the era of national film fame when P. Ramlee was shining. Episode 9 this time brings you Dato' Afdlin Shauki bin Aksan, an artist who holds many hats in the art world of his country. He is famous as an actor, comedian, director, singer and film producer in addition to being active in the social and political fields. Dato' Afdlin began his artistic career in the field of music when he became an artist under the Roslan Aziz Production (RAP) label and recorded a solo album titled Fuyoo in 2003 with the album receiving multiple nominations at the Music Industry Awards (AIM). Even Afdlin's career in the field of music was also marked by his victory in the Creative Ethnic category during the Juara Lagu Awards in 2005 through his song Erti Hidup sung by Dayang Nurfaizah. In the film field, he achieved many extraordinary successes at the Malaysian Film Festival including Best Male Actor through the film Soal Hati, Best Director Hope through the film Bullying and the film he directed, Papadom was once nominated as Best Film. Dato' Afdlin is also the only male actor to win the Best Actor Award at the Malaysian Film Festival 3 times.
