A VERY COLD NIGHT LIVING IN THE KOMBI MOTORHOME!! In this video we will be taking a route unknown to many, it will be 84KM of dirt road crossing the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, we will be passing through deserted and difficult access roads with our Kombi Motorhome! We left the city of Bom Jardim da Serra/SC heading to the city of São José dos Ausentes/RS, we took the Barroca road, a route that is rarely visited and only with 4X4 vehicles, we faced the entire road with our Kombi Mel, an adventure that we always wanted to do. In the middle of the journey we made a wild camp with our Kombi Motorhome, we parked next to a river to spend the night, there was no lighting on the road or houses around, we passed alone in the middle of nowhere with our Kombi, we made an improvised barbecue with rocks that we found in the river, we grilled a barbecue and we were able to enjoy the sunset alone!! We spent a night completely isolated, because there is no phone or internet signal in this region. When night fell, the temperature dropped to 8 degrees. It was a freezing night in the van! We woke up early the next morning to hit the road again. But first, we had a hearty breakfast, washed our faces in the river, packed our motorhome into the van, and began our journey along unknown roads, a route with a stone road, where the van traveled slowly, averaging 20 km/h. We crossed the state border by a bridge over the Contas River, a beautiful landscape surrounded by nature! We reached the peak of Monte Negro, which is the highest point in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. From this location, we also saw the Monte Negro Canyon, the main attraction of São José dos Ausentes. It is the best known and most visited of the 8 canyons in São José dos Ausentes due to its beauty and ease of access. In addition to the canyon, the beautiful landscapes of fields with araucaria trees complete the scenery. Monte Negro has a landscape and grandeur similar to the canyons of Cambará do Sul, which are better known in Brazil. The place has been the setting for some series and soap operas on Rede Globo. Pico Monte Negro is the highest point in Rio Grande do Sul, at 1,403 meters above sea level. It is located on a hill located a few meters from the canyon. Despite being an area of fields, part of the peak has native forest with many araucarias. Its name originated from this. Seen from afar, it appears as a darker hill due to the araucarias, surrounded by lighter fields. Hence, Monte Negro. We returned to the road heading to our next city in São José dos Ausentes/RS, we saw beautiful birds of prey along the way, several different species of birds that we are used to in our coastal region, a beautiful trip amidst nature, being able to contemplate all of nature!
