Carpenter Stephan Linde has specialized in half-timbered houses and medieval church beams. He doesn't do things quickly. First he always has to imagine the work of carpenters from centuries ago. Only then does he start measuring, sawing and adding to it, restoring the historical construction to how it once was. Stephan Linde is currently restoring a 300-year-old half-timbered house in Bützow. The threshold was rotten, the posts are bending outwards. He only really enjoys the work if he can keep a lot of the old wood. Stephan Linde is one of the few carpenters in the north who has specialized in historical wooden constructions. He does it with heart and soul. He always climbs over the beams alone because it is narrow and sometimes dangerous and he only has to look out for himself. One of his two hobbies also has something to do with wood: building tables. And the other is horses. A few years ago Stephan discovered his passion for western riding. Tournaments and cattle drives do not take place in winter, but he has time for long trail rides in the forest and on the beach. More information: https://www.ndr.de/fernsehen/sendunge...
