#figtree #pruning #figtreepruning #figtreegrafting I am going to show you how I do a light pruning of a fig tree with quite damaged wood, thinking about the renewal of branches and the preparation for the graft (if applicable). The basic traditional rule for pruning the fig tree in these lands (Crevillent, Alicante. Spain) has always been to keep the tree at an ideal height to collect the fruits by hand, without the need for ladders and always maintaining a clean and airy center. In this case, the fig tree has been uncared for for many years and has suffered a lot, so I will do a relatively light pruning that will allow us to renew the tree little by little without losing much production and to prepare some branches for a possible graft.
