The Chamber of Deputies grants the title of honorary citizen to the British seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton in a solemn session. The tribute (PRC 79/21) was suggested by deputy André Figueiredo (PDT-CE) and received a favorable opinion from the rapporteur in the Plenary, deputy Jhonatan de Jesus (Republicanos-RR). Figueiredo highlighted that, last year, Hamilton won the Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix in São Paulo and repeated the gesture of the Brazilian Ayrton Senna in 1991, taking an additional lap of the racetrack with the national flag.
