About :

The lecturer is the coordinator of the initiative group of the Virtual Museum lamanova.com, ethnographer photographer, member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia Alla Solovskaya. For many years, she has been studying and popularizing the work of N.P. Lamanova. During the lecture, Alla Solovskaya demonstrated Lamanova's technique, showing how you can quickly transform a woman's outfit with an ordinary homespun towel. She drew attention to Lamanova's theatrical works: at the Moscow Art Theater, where she worked from the 1920s until the end of her life, at the Vakhtangov Theater for the famous "Princess Turandot". Photos of actresses in Lamanova's costumes, the theater program of 1922 can now be seen at the exhibition of the Reader's Museum of the Russian State Library "Vakhtangovites and the Library - a hundred years together." Of undoubted interest are the photographs of original documents shown at the meeting by Alla Solovskaya. For example, the personal file of Kayutova-Lamanova from 1919, opened after her arrest and escort to Butyrka prison together with her husband and family members; an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on the case of Lamanova N.P.'s petition to restore her electoral rights in 1930 and other archival materials testifying to the dramatic fate of the famous fashion designer.
