A circular motion is one in which the trajectory described by the object is a circle. In this type of motion, in addition to the traditional kinematic quantities, there are also angular quantities associated with the shape of the motion. Period and frequency are two very important examples, which also appear in other areas of physics. Period is the time required to complete an event (in this case, the time required for the object to describe a complete revolution). Frequency is the number of complete revolutions in a time interval. In the International System, we measure period in seconds (s). Frequency is given in 1/s, a unit known as hertz (Hz). Period (T) and frequency (f) are inverse quantities, that is, T = 1/f and f = 1/T. The longer the period of circular motion of an object, the lower its frequency (and vice versa). From mathematics, we know that the radius is the distance between the center of a circle and its end. The notion of radius is very important for the study of circular motion. We can, for example, establish relationships between linear quantities and angular quantities. A linear quantity corresponds to the corresponding angular quantity multiplied by the value of the radius. To do this, it is important to work with angles in radians. 00:00 Introduction to the lesson 1:04 What is circular motion? 3:04 Period and frequency 6:59 Period and frequency: inverse quantities 10:28 Unit conversion between rps and rpm 13:07 Exercise: period of gears 14:58 Meaning of pi 17:14 Circumference 18:18 Meaning of radians 20:10 Relationship between radians and degrees 22:16 Position and linear displacement 23:56 Position and angular displacement 24:48 Relationship between linear displacement and angular displacement 26:42 Linear velocity 28:45 Exercise: tangential velocity of a body in circular motion 31:03 Angular velocity 32:14 Exercise: angular velocity of a DVD 34:27 Relationship between linear velocity and angular velocity 35:54 Exercise: angular velocity of an amusement park car Discover our networks - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ⭐️ PRE-COLLEGE COURSE: http://www.biologiatotal.com.br ⭐️ INSTAGRAM: / biologiatotaloficial Welcome to APROVA TOTAL - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Created by professor Paulo Jubilut, Biologia Total is now Aprova Total!
