SALAM SABAH MAJU JAYA IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SABAH PAN BORNEO HIGHWAY PROJECT WORK PACKAGE 3 - UPGRADING THE ROAD FROM BEAUFORT TO BONGAWAN The construction of the Pan Borneo Highway for the Work Package 3 alignment involves the work of upgrading the road from Beaufort to Bongawan to a four-lane dual carriageway highway along 22.4KM. This Work Package involves the construction of 4 Bridges (Sg Mawao, Sg Klias Baru, Sg Membakut and Sg Damit), 3 Pedestrian Overpasses and 2 Elevated Intersections (Bongawan Elevated Intersection and BEBO Arch Railway Intersection) for the convenience of Highway users. The BEBO Arch Railway Intersection is the first BEBO Arch structure built across a railway track in the state of Sabah. Built from pre-cast concrete in the shape of an arch, it has a span of 25m and a length of 157m. When completed, it will facilitate the movement of vehicles passing through the Sabah Pan Borneo Highway because vehicles do not need to stop for a moment when the JKNS train passes through it.
