Klimkówka, a village in the Low Beskids The film presents film shots taken in the village of Klimkówka in the Low Beskids, located in the Ropa commune in the Gorlice district. Its name probably comes from the name Klemens - a diminutive of Klimek. The beginnings of the village of Klimkówka date back to 1437, when it was in the possession of the Gładysz family. At the end of the 16th century, the village had 7 Vlach farms and one village head. In 1599, Jan Potocki took possession of Klimkówka, who also purchased Bielanka, Łosie, Nowica, Kunkowa and Leszczyny from Samuel Branicki. In this way, the so-called "Kres Klimkówki" was created, i.e. a group of Lemko villages jointly managed, belonging to one owner. Windsurfing is practiced on the Klimkówka reservoir. https://www.apokryfruski.org/kultura/...
