On the very border of North and South Ossetia, in the border zone, there is a temple. No one knows when it was built. Most likely, in the 10th or 11th century, but maybe earlier. The village of Kesatikau, next to which the temple is located, is considered the ancestral home of the Kesaev family. For many centuries, life was in full swing in the gorge, there were many villages here. Then people began to leave these places - life in the mountains is harsh. And then a border outpost was set up right next to the village, and the gorge itself ended up behind a whole chain of checkpoints. However, the people from the village - representatives of the Kesaev family, whom life scattered to different corners of Ossetia and even the world - did not forget about the temple.
