About :

Autumn Karhunkierkos (82 km) hike in Oulanga National Park. I arrived in Ruka the day before departure and traveled by bus to Hautajärvi, where I had booked a room for one night. I left Hautajärvi on 24.9.2022 and arrived in Ruka as planned on 29.9.2022. The day trips were as follows: Day 1. Hautajärvi - Savilampi. Day 2. Savilampi - Kiutaköngäs. Day 3. Kiutaköngäs - Jussinkämpä. Day 4. Jussinkämpä - Siilastupa. Day 5. Siilastupa - Kumpuvaara. Day 6. Kumpuvaara - Ruka. In my opinion, the route lives up to its reputation and offers a versatile terrain to ride and is also physically challenging. The marked attractions are worth experiencing and leave a positive memory impression on the traveler. When you reach Ruka, the climbing becomes more intense when you first climb Konttainen and then Valtavaara, not forgetting the last ascent of Ruka. The views that open up over the dangers do reward the effort. Overall a great route - I recommend it!
