Metin Demir: He has been working at the Philosophy Department of Istanbul Şehir University between 2015-2020, and at the Philosophy Department of Bursa Uludağ University since 2020. He received his PhD from the Philosophy Department of Istanbul University in 2020 with his thesis titled “Metaphysics of the Enculturated Brain”. In 2018, he worked on Hegel at the Classical German Idealism Research Center of Ruhr University, Germany. He completed his master's degree at the Cultural Studies Department of Istanbul Şehir University with his thesis on cultural evolution (2012). He graduated from the Environmental Engineering Department of Istanbul University (2010). In 2021, the book Metaphysics of Life: Nature, History and Habit in Hegel was published. He is also one of the editors of the books Political Conversations and Contemporary Sociological Tendencies in Turkey. His articles have been published in national and international philosophy journals. His main areas of study include Continental European Philosophy, German Idealism, nature-culture relations, philosophy of mind and environmental philosophy.
