Introductory film to the visit to the Balzac Museum. Honoré de Balzac works tirelessly in his small room at the Château de Saché. We listen to him describe his stays, between 1825 and 1848, through his correspondence. We see him walking in the surrounding woods, in love with the Indre Valley and its nature. We also immerse ourselves in the daily life of the château through two characters inspired by real employees of the Margonne: Virgile Pertuis, the manager of the Saché estate, and Angélique Guinault, the kitchen assistant. A poetic and captivating film punctuated with notes of humor... Screenplay: Paul Métadier, directed by: Florent Santarelli (2017) With Patrick Raffault (H. de Balzac), Christine Mariez (Angélique Guinault) and Hubert Chevalier (Virgile Pertuis). Voiceover by François-Eric Gendron (Honoré de Balzac) and Elisabeth de Robert.
