Find out what to expect from your JECRIM case. Dear friends, in this week's video we explain how minor crimes work, which are tried by the Special Criminal Court of the place where the incident occurred. Our idea was to create a step-by-step guide of what happens from the Police Station (Executive Branch) to the Court (Judiciary Branch). We followed the following proposal: to explain how the registration is done, what documents are given to the perpetrator and victim, how these facts reach the Judiciary, what are the possible agreements between the parties and the Public Prosecutor's Office, how the hearing works and, finally, the serving of the sentence and the consequent archiving of the case. We tried to be as objective as possible, but at the same time we highlighted the details that make a difference in the realization of your right. We covered the Detailed Term, the Commitment Term, the Preliminary Hearing, the Agreement between the victim/injured party and the perpetrator/offender (civil settlement), the Penal Transaction, the Conditional Suspension of the Proceedings, the Instruction and Judgment Hearing (AIJ), witnesses, interrogation, the right to remain silent, criminal appeal (appeal), the Appeals Panel, the installment payment of the fine, the provision of community service, the Sentence Compliance Certificate and the Termination of the Proceedings. WHEW!! I hope you like it! Remembering that if you have any questions, you can leave them here in the comments or send us a direct message on our Instagram profile, @canalpoulei. A big hug, a big kiss and until the next video.
