Not far from the Champs Elysees, in the eighth arrondissement of Paris, you can see the façade of an impressive mansion. There is an interesting museum here, named after Nissim Camondo. The Camondos were a wealthy family of aristocrats who were passionate about decorative art. Jewish bankers, originally from Constantinople, decided to open a bank in Paris and moved to France. One of the family members, Moses, was in love with 18th-century art and began collecting it. In 1911, to recall the tastes of the 18th century, the architect was commissioned to rebuild the mansion on Rue Monceau. The collection grew and became a real collection of 35,000 masterpieces.
