There are several ancient and historical places in Raiganj Upazila of Sirajganj District, Bangladesh. One of them is an ancient and historical lake called Joysagar. Joysagar Lake is located between Nimgachhi and Gotitha mouzas of Sonakhara Union of Raiganj Upazila of Sirajganj District. This historical and ancient lake is quite huge. In ancient times, the length of the lake was half a mile, the width was a little less than half a mile, that is, the area was about 58 acres.
