Dr. Axel Schroeder, deputy chairman of the board of Ärztegenossenschaft Nord eG (äg Nord), talks about the Health Care Strengthening Act (GVSG). After the changes to the draft bill at the weekend, it is now only about regulations on GP remuneration, but no longer about primary care centers. The draft for the GVSG is now available - it includes the de-budgeting that GPs have long been waiting for, which is a good thing and long overdue! What is missing is the de-budgeting of specialist medical care. From a care perspective, the law therefore falls far short. GP and specialist care for patients are intertwined. It is important to strengthen outpatient care in both care areas - services that are fully provided must also be paid for in full. This is an absolute basic requirement and not just in GP basic care. You can find out about this and more in the current video blog from äg Nord.
