Mykhailo Petrovych Drahomanov is a Ukrainian publicist, historian, philosopher, economist, literary critic, folklorist, public figure, representative of the well-known family of Ukrainian public and cultural figures Drahomanov. One of the organizers of the "Old Community" in Kyiv. Associate Professor of Kyiv University (1864–1875). After his release for political uncharity, he emigrated to Geneva, where he headed the Ukrainian political emigration center (1876–1889). Professor at the Higher School in Sofia (now Sofia University) (1889–1895). Brother of writer and public figure Olena Pchilka, uncle of Lesya Ukrainka and Oksana Drahomanova. His son is Svetozar Drahomanov, his son-in-law is Ivan Trush.
