Muhammad Zaini bin Abdul Ghani Al Banjari, better known by the community as Guru Sekumpul. Born on Wednesday, February 11, 1942 (27 Muharram 1361 Hijri), in the small village of Tanggul Ireng, Martapura, Banjar Regency, he was the son of KH Abdul Ghani bin Abdul Manaf bin Muhammad Seman bin Haji Mulya and Hajjah Masliah binti Haji Mulya bin Haji Muhyiddin. Guru Sekumpul is the 8th descendant of a great scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad bin Abdullah al-Banjari. With such a deep spiritual heritage, Guru Sekumpul's special features have been seen since his childhood, such as his amazing kasyaf ability and various other karomah that are often the subject of discussion.
