Before you start installing a room door after dismantling the old door leaf and the old frame, two things need to be clarified: the dimensions of the wall opening - width, height and total wall thickness - and whether the door should be hinged on the left or right. Then you can start with the assembly: connect the frame elements and decorative cladding with glue and screws, insert the frame spreaders and then erect the frame and align it in the wall opening. This is done using a spirit level, spacers and alignment clamps. If everything fits, the cavity between the frame and the wall is filled with frame foam. Once the foam has dried, excess material is cut off with a cutter knife. Now all that's missing is the door hinges and the installation of the decorative cladding, which is simply put on the frame groove. Close the gaps at the frame base with silicone and the transitions between the wall and the frame sides or cross element with acrylic. Finally, the door fittings are installed. Done.
