Ferhat Giritli. The unlucky computer olympiad. We were solving the first analysis problem of the 2021 IMO Shortlist in the class he attended as a guest at the Leva Math Camp. He claimed to have solved the question in just 15 minutes after entering the class. None of us believed it. It turns out he was right. IMO Shortlist is the name of the list of questions that can be asked in the IMO, the world's most prestigious mathematics olympiad exam. While only a select few of the mathematics olympiad athletes can solve these questions, we did not expect a computer olympiad athlete to find the solution in such a short time. However, this question is a special one. It is solved with very simple but very clever ideas that require almost no mathematical knowledge. We hope you enjoy listening to us. With this video, the number of videos we have shot on the METU campus has increased to three. Videos will continue to come from METU, but we will soon open up to other universities such as Koç and Boğaziçi.
