You don't have to chase away bad thoughts, you don't have to fight against the things in you that you don't like: by doing so, you only trigger an endless internal conflict. You have to learn to look, just look. For example, there are many ways to deal with restlessness: you can try to chase it away; or you can perceive it as a wind, an energy that must be welcomed when it appears, without any comment. Thus restlessness becomes a precious warning coming from the internal world, which does not use words but emotions, feelings, discomforts, disturbances. The lesson that comes from all these states of mind is to remind us that inside us there is not only the character we play on the stage of life, but that many faces live within us, many facets of our personality, that we are much more than what we appear to be. Discomfort and restlessness come precisely to make us discover these other faces. Thus we can see ourselves as new every day: dynamic, changeable, unpredictable. What new things happen every day? This is the most important question to ask yourself. We discuss this and many other topics in the December issue of Riza Psicosomatica, which you can find on newsstands. Enjoy the read!
