Many people no longer have the best image of shooting clubs, and this is evident from the number of members – which has been falling for years because fewer and fewer young people are joining them. One of the reasons: prejudices against shooting clubs. Many people think they are old-fashioned and male-dominated, others have concerns about weapons and most probably only associate them with partying and drinking beer at shooting festivals. But many young people want to hold on to tradition, are active as sports shooters and are committed to preserving their shooting club. Y-Kollektiv reporter Olga Patlan accompanies a young shooter for three days. Milena is 20 and successful as a sports shooter. She recently became the state youth shooting queen in Lower Saxony. But it wasn't the shooting sport that brought her to the shooting club in the first place, it was her enthusiasm for traditions. What these look like, how they fit into today's world and whether the clichés are true or not – that's what this film is about.
