Thank you for watching! Episode 237 is about my yew tree (Onko) that looks like it's about to die, so I bought some medicine. A while ago, the leaves of the yew tree I took a cutting from this spring started to discolor and wither. Since it had few roots when I potted it up, I thought it was inevitable that it would die, but the fact that multiple pots were showing the same symptoms at the same time made me wonder if it was an infectious disease, or if there was some problem with the change in environment since autumn. I cut off the damaged parts and replanted the pots to improve the drainage, but the withering progressed in multiple pots, and it even started to affect the pot I had carried over from last year, so I finally decided to try some medicine. I looked up various things on the Internet, but I couldn't determine a specific disease from the symptoms, so I chose the medicine that seemed most suitable based on my own judgment. I checked it out. It's probably not a pest but a disease. There is powdery mildew on the grapes, so it might be a disease caused by bacteria. If possible, I want something that can be treated and prevented... so I chose GF Benlate Hydrate. For trees, it seems to be used at a 2000-fold dilution, so it seems that one bag (0.5g) is dissolved in 1 liter of water and sprayed. However, it is impossible to use up 1 liter, and even if you have leftover pesticide, it is not good to pour it into household wastewater... so I tried using about one-tenth of the amount so that I could use it up with a spray. I didn't take a picture of the spray, but I sprayed it so that the front and back of the leaves were thoroughly wet. It seems that it is a good idea to mix in an appropriate amount of a spreading agent so that the medicine adheres well to the leaves, but I didn't buy it this time. I plan to take another picture of the situation after about a week has passed. See you next time ☆彡 #Mini Bonsai #GF Benlate Hydrate #Yew
