Here is the first part of the report: Part 1: • Hype about survival tours: in the dangerous... In the second part of the report, Y-Kollektiv reporter Katja Döhne has been on the road for a few days in the most dangerous jungle in the world - the Darién Gap in Panama. With a group of adventure tourists from Germany, she is making her way through the rainforest on a dangerous route. Over 85 kilometers in 12 days under extreme climatic conditions. But apart from the enormous physical challenge and the danger to life and limb on this tour - how does the tourist group's survival tour affect the jungle? What happens to the garbage, how much rainforest has to be cut down and trampled with a machete to make the tour possible? Indigenous tribes live in small villages in the Darién Gap. What do the villagers say about the visitor from Germany who voluntarily throws himself into this hostile environment? Is a tour through this jungle, through which almost 300,000 migrants flee from South America to the USA every year, actually morally justifiable? Y-Kollektiv reporter Katja Döhne speaks to the organizers of this tour, the Cologne-based company Wandermut, which also co-organized the YouTube format #7vswild. At the end of the jungle tour, Katja's body can no longer cope and she can no longer get out of the jungle without the help of the group. This is the second report from the Darién Gap in Panama. In the first episode, Katja wants to find out through conversations with the participants why people risk their own lives for so much money and what the appeal of a jungle tour is.
