HYDRAULIC CALCULATION PROGRAMS FOR SPRINKLERS - Sprinkler CALC In this series of videos we show the use of some hydraulic calculation software for water systems so that our clients and followers can get an idea of ​​the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of use, capabilities, among others, of various types of calculation programs. We do not intend to be exhaustive, but to interact with some well-known and widely used ones. The first one we show is an old software, the Sprinkler-CALC Release 7.2 Win by Walsh Engineering Inc, which must be installed on a virtual machine in order to be used. It is a manual data entry, data sheet style (Excel) hydraulic calculation software that allows demand or supply calculations for systems based on density or non-density (example: hoses or ESFR). It has a pipe catalog that is still valid, and its table of equivalent lengths is still current. It allows calculations for medium to large projects. Its main limitation is that it is not very flexible and that you cannot assign fixed pressure flow outputs, so to make hose calculations they must be transformed into fixed K sprinklers.
