The dedicated SSR of the Marin hospital in Hendaye Helping patients to maintain their abilities as best as possible, relieving caregivers so that patients can stay at home for as long as possible and when the disease takes on more severe forms, offering support solutions to families, it is with this triple objective that the Marin hospital in Hendaye has been developing a range of follow-up care and rehabilitation dedicated to people with Huntington's disease since 2009. This original structure, which constitutes the link that was previously missing in the organization of the care of these patients, operates in partnership with the National Reference Center of the Henri-Mondor hospital and offers one-month respite-rehabilitation stays all year round. These stays are an opportunity for patients to benefit from rehabilitation activities, adapted sports activities and cultural care provided by an experienced and motivated multidisciplinary team and for caregivers who remain at home to regain their energy. This document, produced in July 2013, provides a daily overview of SSR stays, the therapeutic and social benefits that can result from them and the assessment of their merits by the patients themselves. kioskap.aphp.fr (2013)
