After flowering, the plant enters a dormant period, poinsettia sheds its leaves, but does not die, do not rush to throw it away. We trim the bushes to 3-4 buds, leaving about 10-15 cm. We transfer poinsettia to a cool place with a temperature of at least +12 degrees, but not higher than +17 degrees. Water rarely, let the soil in the pot dry out between waterings. We keep poinsettia in this mode until the end of the dormant period. The awakened buds will serve as a signal. We transplant the plant into new soil and into a pot, a little larger than the previous one. Gradually return to the normal watering regime.
