And that is why proper installation of skirting boards is so important. The first and definitely the easiest option is to install the skirting boards by gluing them directly to the wall. This method is very fast, but it is good to know a few things before installing the skirting boards. First of all, applying the glue - we recommend applying the glue along the entire length of the profile in a wavy motion. This will ensure that the skirting board adheres well to the wall and does not come off over time. The screw method requires drilling special holes in the wall, where dowels and screws are inserted, which are used to attach the skirting boards to the surface. We should drill holes along the entire length at intervals of approximately 40-50 cm. It is necessary to pay special attention to the distance between the holes in the strips to perfectly match the distances on the wall. Then simply place the strips on the surface, insert the dowels into the holes and screw the elements to the dowels with screws.
