How to drive an automatic car An automatic car is driven by following these steps: First: Make sure of the appropriate sitting position; so that the driver can easily reach the brakes and fuel pedal. Second: Make sure of the position of both the side and interior mirrors; so that the driver can monitor the roads by moving his eyes only without having to move his head. Third: Make sure that the transmission is in position P, and that the handbrake is raised up, then the car key is placed in its designated place in order to start the engine, so that it is moved up. Fourth: Use only the right foot while driving; so that the brakes are stepped on first, then the transmission is moved to position D, then the handbrake is moved down. Fifth: Gradually lift the right foot off the brakes, and in this way the car becomes able to move, then the right foot is placed on the fuel pedal; so that the more the fuel pedal is stepped on, the faster the car becomes. Fifth: The car is slowed down by pressing the right foot on the brakes instead of the fuel pedal.
