Remove the strip and compare it with the colors indicated on the bottle. If the pH is high, use the pH reducer. In the case of our pool, the pH and alkalinity are low, so we will use a pH booster to improve the levels. To apply the product, activate the “Recirculate” position on the pool filter. Dilute the dose of product recommended on the packaging in a bucket of water and spread it around the sides of the pool. Filter the water for 3 hours and then apply the test strip again to check if there has been an improvement in the pH. ► Step 2: Sanitizing the water The second step in cleaning the pool is sanitizing. To do this, dilute the chlorine or bromine according to the packaging and spread it around the sides. This time, filter the water for 6 hours. While you wait, you can sweep the edge of the pool with a broom to remove plants and dirt. ► Step 3: Clean the deck and edges of the pool At this point, you can also scrub the edge with a sponge and a pool edge cleaner. It will help remove dirt that is embedded in the lining. To rinse, use the water from the pool itself. ► Step 4: Preventing and treating pool water If the water is cloudy, you have two options: 1) use a decanter clarifier or 2) Natural Mineral Shine. In both cases, apply the dose directly to the pool. If the water is very dirty, apply it with the recirculation on and wait 5 minutes before turning it off. After this process, let the water stand for 12 hours. In cases where the pool water is very green, choose Algaecide. Dilute the product according to the instructions on the package and filter the pool for 3 hours. This product decant the dirt, which all goes to the bottom of the pool. You can remove this dirt from the bottom of the pool with a pool vacuum. ► Step 5: Check the filters At this stage of cleaning the pool, it is necessary to turn off the pump and close all valves for safety reasons. Now, let's clean the filter. This process is very simple: just remove the filter and throw away the dirt. ► Step 6: Vacuum the bottom of the pool Now, it's time to see the pool clear, since we'll vacuum all the dirt that's settled on the bottom. To do this, you'll need a pool vacuum cleaner. Important: it can't be turned on outside the pool.
