Many people think that they disassembled the tank, pressed the bearings into it, installed the oil seal and that's it, everything seems simple. The fact is that even replacing these parts has its own nuances. Using this washing machine as an example, you will see what mistakes people made who decided to replace the bearings in the washing machine with their own hands. After I disassembled the tank and pulled out the drum, the first thing that caught my eye was the seal, or rather how it was installed. Not only was the seal selected incorrectly, it was also installed crookedly. In addition to the incorrectly installed seal, pay attention to the bearing, it turned out to be of some incomprehensible assembly. On one side there is a plastic dust cover, and on the other a metal one, which suggests that it was most likely disassembled simply to lubricate it, which means that either the bearing was already in use and made at least a small but some noise, or it was not even changed, but simply lubricated. Another bummer, again associated with the seal, I did not find any grease in it, but everywhere there were traces of lithol or some other grease not intended for lubricating the seal of the washing machine. All the above nuances led to the fact that after replacing the bearings, the washing machine did not work even a year. Since the seal was not properly lubricated, it was simply eaten away, as a result, water got on the bearing and it began to make noise. In this washing machine, another nuance surprised me, this is the sealing rubber of the tank. Here I must admit that the guys are great, they coped with the task with a bang.
