Long before Jesus! This breed was not created by man. It developed through natural selection, facing places with many predators and climates that are difficult to survive. These conditions influenced its temperament, which is that of a strong, independent dog, loyal to its family (when used as a companion) and, most importantly, it is not afraid of any type of predator! That is why it became an excellent shepherd and protector dog. It even earned the nickname “wolf destroyer” for scaring away and even killing wolves that approached farms.
