Can you show us for the sake of Allah? Answer: The way our Prophet performed prayer 1. Starting takbir: When the Prophet (pbuh) would stand for prayer, he would raise his hands either to ear level or to shoulder level and make the takbir by saying Allahu akbar. 2. He would put his right hand on top of his left hand and tie them on his chest. How are the hands tied? a) The right hand can be placed on the left hand b) The right hand can be holding the left wrist or the left arm 3. The Prophet would recite istiftah prayers. (Prayers such as Subhaneke that the Prophet recited before Fatiha) 4. The Prophet (pbuh) would recite Fatiha. (There is no prayer for those who do not recite the Fatiha) 5. Our Prophet would recite whatever was easy for him from the Quran. 6. When our Prophet finished reciting, he would say Allahu Akbar and raise his hands to shoulder level or ear level and then go into ruku. 7. When rising from ruku, he would say Sami Allahu limen hamidehdiyere and raise his hands again to shoulder level or ear level. Then he would say Rabbana wa lakal hamd and some other prayers. 8. Then our Prophet would go into prostration saying Allahu Akbar. When going into prostration, he would first put his knees on the ground and then his hands on the ground. We know 3 features about our Prophet's prostration. a) Our Prophet (pbuh) would put his feet together in prostration. b) Our Prophet (pbuh)'s hips would be higher than his back. c) Our Prophet (pbuh) would sometimes keep his hands close together and sometimes open his arms. Our Prophet (pbuh) would say Subhana Rabbiyal Ala while prostrating. Sometimes he would prostrate very long. Sometimes he would cry in prostration. Sometimes he would adjust his prostration according to the congregation behind him. There is also a sitting between two prostrations. The Prophet would sit on his left foot and plant it on his right foot. While performing tahhiyat, the Prophet (pbuh) would look towards the qibla with his right index finger making the takbir. Our Master Halis recommends that it be done rarely since it is fixed in the sunnah to move the index finger during tahhiyat. Our Prophet would recite the salli and barik prayers during tahhiyat and then seek refuge in Allah from four things: From hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trial of life and death, and from the trial of the Messiah dajjal. He would pray as much as he wished before giving the salam. When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) finished the prayer, he would first turn to the right and then give the salam. He would turn his head to the right until his right cheek was visible, and to the left until his left cheek was visible. Sometimes, he would give the salam with a single salam and then lower his head.
